The mission of the TCMemorial Fund is to bring awareness and support to the sport of Cross-Country running and the fellowship it creates, at Dobyns-Bennett High School, specifically, and more broadly, for the Tri-Cities and East Tennessee community and beyond.  A main focus of the fund is to support the Dobyns-Bennett High School Cross-Country team’s efforts to help students fulfill financial commitments related to their training in the sport.  The fund was created to commemorate Tom Coughenour, Dobyns-Bennett Track and Cross-Country Coach for over 40 years, and 9-time Tennessee State Cross-Country Coach of the Year, and member of the TSSAA Hall of Fame.
